Crescent Rim Historic Remodel

This historic home remodel in Boise’s Crescent Rim neighborhood involved restoring and updating one of the original early-1900s residences overlooking the valley. Over time, the home had been expanded and shaped by skilled craftsmanship, and this renovation required the same level of care, attention to detail, and respect for the home’s original architectural character.

Designed as the clients’ forever home, the remodel needed to support aging in place, including the addition of a custom elevator. Integrating that feature into the existing structure created unique construction challenges due to limited space, complex rooflines, the orientation of the home, and the goal of preserving the exterior character while modernizing the interior layout.

With minimal tolerances and structural complexities throughout the project, every phase of construction required thoughtful coordination, detailed carpentry, and craftsmanship-focused problem solving. The finished result blends seamlessly with the original architecture while providing updated functionality for long-term living.
